Mrs. Minnie Engelhardt, 89, died at her home in St. Olaf, Monday morning, Dec. 01. Funeral services will be held from the residence at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon to St. John's Lutheran church in Farmersburg at 1:30 o'clock, the Rev. R. H. Steege officiating. Burial will be in the Clayton Center cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Engelhardt were held from the residence in St. Olaf, at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon to St. John's Lutheran church in Farmersburg at 1:30 o'clock, the Rev. R. H. Steege officiating. Burial was in the Clayton Center cemetery.
Minnie Taake was born in Leide, Westphalia, Germany, August 11, 1858, and died at her home near St. Olaf, Monday, Dec. 01, having reached the age of 89 years, three months and 21 days.
She came to this country at the age of five years with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Taake. The family settled at Clayton Center where she attended school and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was married at Clayton Center, Feb. 20, 1874, to Charles C. Engelhardt. They moved to the farm near St. Olaf. Her husband died April 02, 1905. After his death she remained on the farm for a number of years, then spent several years in Farmersburg and St. Olaf. In 1933 she moved back to the Engelhardt farm where she spent the remaining years with her son Roy and family.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church of Farmersburg, and a charter member of the Ladies Aid of that church.
She is survived by four of her nine children: Charles Engelhardt, Lake Norden, S.Dak.; Fred Engelhardt, Clinton, Iowa; Mrs. Pearl Nelson, Encino, Calif., and Roy W. Engelhardt, on the home farm; also one sister, Mrs. Louise Leibrock, Elkader; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
