Emil Conrad Baumgartner, 52, died Tuesday at Mercy hospital, Oelwein, where he was taken five days before. Son of Carl and Mary Weege Baumgartner, he was born at Strawberry Point Dec. 26, 1894. On Oct. 8, 1919, he was married to Elizabet Beyerlein at Phillipsburg, Kan. They farmed in the St. Sebald community. He was a member of the St. Sebald Lutheran church.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Arnold Raab, Chicago, and Erma at home; two sons, Paul and Gerald, both at home, two brothers, the Rev. John Baumgartner, Billings, Mont., and Carl Baumgartner, McCook, Nebr; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Glass and Mrs. George Nodurft, both of Strawberry Point. An infant son, five children, and his parents preceded hm in death.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the St. Sebald church. Burial was in the St. Sebald cemetery.
