Funeral services for Mrs. Chris Schrampfer, 82, were held at the Witt Funeral Chapel at 1:30 o'clock on Monday afternoon, the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. Burial was in the East Side cemetery.

Mrs. Schrampfer died at her home in Cox Cree township on Friday, Feb. 07. She had been in failing health for the past six years and for the past year was confined to her bed for the greater share of the time.

Anna Amelia Mentzel, the daughter of Gustav and Elisa Dohrer Mentzel was born May 07, 1864, in Cox Creek township. She spent her entire life on the farm and in the home in which she died. She received her education in the rural school near her home. On September 26, 1912, she was united in marriage to Chris Schrampfer of Elkader, at Elkader by the Rev. C. H. Franke.

She is survived by her husband, one brother, Gus Mentzel of Elkader, and one sister, Mrs. Mollie Schroeder of Wadena, Iowa.

Pallbearers were: Alfred Baars, G. J. Graf, L. M. Wagner, Miles Scott, Julius Mentzel and Oscar Meisner.
