Miss Emma Boyle, 78, died at the McGregor hospital Thursday night, following a cerebral hemorrhage. Miss Boyle was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Boyle, early residents of McGregor, who came out to Iowa from Pennsylvania. When a young woman she went to Chicago to keep house for two brothers who were on the police force there. In failing health she came to McGregor a year or so ago and has made her home at the hospital. She was the last surviving member of her family, her parents, four brothers and one sister having preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Pilkington Funeral Parlor conducted by Rev. J. F. Parsons and burial was made in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
