Edward Meyer died last Wednesday, Nov. 27, at the Clem Whittle home, following a heart attack, at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 21 days.

He was the son of George Meyer and his wife, Marie Elenora Venus and was born at Communia on December 06, 1879.

He spent his entire life in this community working as a farm hand. He never married but made his home wherever he was employed or with friends.

He is survived by two sisters and one brother, namely: Mrs. Gust Vogel, Mason City, Mrs. Lenora Beckman, Dubuque and Max Meyer of Garnavillo.

Funeral services were held at the Oelke mortuary last Saturday afternoon at two o'clock and burial was made in the East Side cemetery, the Rev. P. Kitterer officiating.
