ST. OLAF: Mrs. William H. Larson died Saturday evening, Nov. 16, at the University hospital in Iowa City, following an illness of several weeks, at te age of 67 years, 10 months and 16 days.
Hilda Thovson Larson, daughter of the late Lars and Johanna Thovson, was born January 01, 1873 in Wagner township on a farm near St. Olaf. On October 19, 1895, she was married to William H. Larson. They bought Mr. Larson's father's farm near St. Olaf and settled there. April 03, 1919 Mr. Larson died. Mrs. Larson continued to live on their farm until a few years ago when she moved to St. Olaf, where she since made her home.
Mrs. Larson was baptized and confirmed in the Norway Lutheran church and continued to be a faithful member of this church her entire life. She was an active and faithful member of the St. Olaf Ladies Aid of Norway church for many years.
Funeral services for Mrs. Larson were held Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 19, at 1:30 o'clock at the home and at 2 o'clock at Norway Lutheran church, the Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating. The Norway Lutheran church choir sang at the church services, and the members of the Ladies Aid sang one song. Burial was made in the Norway cemetery.
Pallbearers were Floyd A. Orvis, Roy Engelhardt, Aden Embretson, Elmer F. Wilke, Alfred T. Knudson and Blain Johnson.
Mrs. Larson leaves to mourn her death four sons, Leroy of Marquette, Alvin, Horace, and Floyd, all of St. Olaf, two sisters, Emma and Lena Thovson of Farmersburg four grandchildren, Lyle, Robert, Mary Ann and Roger; one aunt, Miss Anna Thovson and many cousins. Besides her husband, also one brother, Nels and one sister, Mrs. Lars W. Thompson, preceded her in death.
