Clayton County Register, 27 Nov. 1940.

MONONA: Funeral services for Fred Elet were held at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon from the Otto H. Mielke home and at two o'clock from the Methodist church with Rev. H. W. Farnham officiating with the burial in the Council Hill cemetery beside his wife.

Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Otto H. Mielke who tenderly cared for him and Mrs. George M. Franck of Strawberry Point. a brother Adolph Elet and four grandchildren survive him.

The sympathy of the community is extended the children in their loss.
