MONONA: Funeral services for George Eckle, 73, were held at 1:45 from the Carl G. Schultz funeral home and at 2:00 from the Lutheran church, with the pastor, the Rev. H. W. Siefkes officiating and burial was made in the cemetery at National.

Mr. Eckle was born at Buck Creek, June 07, 1867, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Eckle. Twenty years ago he and his brother, the late Jacob Eckle, moved to Monona, where they have lived quietly. He died Monday evening of heart trouble and pneumonia. Surviving him are his brother, Louis Eckle of Lincoln, Nebr., and a half-sister, Mrs. Bertha Gray of Monona; also 14 nieces and nephews.
