Clayton County Register, 15 May 1940.

STRAWBERRY POINT: The remains of Alfred J. Thode of St. Paul, were brought here Tuesday for burial in the Strawberry Point Cemetery. Brief services at the grave were conducted by the Rev. James E. Mc___n, pastor of the Congregation church. Mr. Thode was 67 years old and born at Dubuque. He had been a printer in the Twin Cities most of his life and was secretary of the Typographical Union there.

Surviving are his wife, formerly Blanche Eaton of this place, and one brother of Great Falls, Mont.
