STRAWBERRY POINT: Funeral services for Mrs. Leon Olinger occurred Monday morning, April 29, at the Sacred Heart church, conducted by the Rev. Father Julius Olinger, a brother-in-law, of Garber, and the Rev. Father P. J. Boyle, pastor of the local church. The pallbearers were Marcus O'Brien, Floyd Dittmer, Ellsworth Alderson, Bryan Farmer, Frank O'Brien and Joe McTaggart. Burial was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
As Kathleen Anton, daughter of Henry and Josephine Anton, she was born on a farm west of Strawberry Point on March 11, 1897. She was united in marriage to Leon Olinger on July 25, 1922. The home has always been made on a farm. Surviving are the husband and three children: Bernard, Loretta and Marie at home; her mother, Mrs. Josephine Anton of Strawberry Point; seven sisters and one brother, Mrs. Elizabeth Hanson and Mrs. Rose Anton of Estherville, Mrs. Nynn Seago of Arlington, Mrs. Albert Moser, Mrs. Elmer Scheckel, Miss Margaret Anton, Mrs. Agnes Evert and Henry Anton, Jr., all of Strawberry Point.
