Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon in the Hope Lutheran church in Littleport for Mrs. Mary Osborne. Burial was made in the Communia cemetery with the Rev. Mr. Stagge officiating.

Mrs. Mary Osborne, nee Boumann, daughter of George Boumann and Maria, nee Moser, was born Feb. 29, 1856, near Littleport.

On Dec. 12, 1892, she was united in mariage with John Osborne. Though this union was not blessed with any children, yet they were permitted under the guidance of God to enjoy a happy wedded life. Three years ago, November, 1936, her husband preceded her in death. Since that time she has made her home with Mrs. Louisa Maier.

As a whole the departed enjoyed good heath. Two weeks ago while attending the funeral of her sister, she contracted a slight cold which later developed into pneumonia. On Sunday evening, Feb. 11, she died, attaining an age of 83 years, 11 months, 9 days. She leaves to mourn her death 2 brothers, E. J. Baumann of Minneapolis, Minn., and R. W. Baumann of Los Angeles, Calif., 18 nieces and nephews and many other friends.
