Clayton County Register, 07 Feb. 1940.

VOLGA CITY: Mrs. Will Eckheart, nee Bertha Meisgeier, passed away at her farm home south of town Sunday night after a lingering illness. Her funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at the Lutheran church in Arlington. She is survived by her husband, Will Eckheart, two sons Amos and Dorn and one daughter, Mrs. H. Rawson. A daughter, Mrs. R. Amsberry preceded her in death several years ago.

Note: burial is in Taylorsville cemetery, near Arlington, Fayette co., IA
