STRAWBERRY POINT: Charles F. Steinhilber, 74 years, died on Thursday afternoon about 5:30 from a heart attack while listening to the radio. He had been in apparently good health.
Charles F. Steinhilber, son of Gottlieb and Wilhelmina Hanssler, was born at St. Sebald on July 07, 1865. He lived here his entire life. he was married to Miss Pearl Hoagan, Oct. 21, 1893. To this union one daughter and three sons were born. For three and one-half years he was Justice of the Peace and for forty years he was in the real estate business, probably being the oldest in the real estate business around here. His parents, one son Donald Steinhilber and two brothers, George and Stephen have preceded him in death. Surviving are his widow, one daughter, Mrs. G. J. (Marion) Siebke of Cedar Rapids and two sons, Carl of Wilmartin, N.C., and Glen of Los Angeles, Calif. Also three grandchildren and one sister and two brothers, Mrs. Minnie Clough and Gottlieb Steinhilber of Strawberry Point and Henry Steinhilber of Storm Lake.
Funeral services were held at the Gill's funeral home, Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. James E. McLien, pastor of the Congregational church. The remains were placed in the receiving vault of the Strawberry Point cemetery until spring.
