Clayton County Register, 25 Oct. 1939.

GUTTENBERG: Charles Schumacher of Chicago, who was a former Guttenberg resident, died in Chicago Monday, and the body was brought to Guttenberg on Thursday. The funeral was held at St. Mary's church, with the Rev. Joseph Dupont officiating. His widow, three daughters, Margaret, Cecilia and Catherine, and four sons, Carl, Leo, John and William, mourn his death.
