Clayton County Register, 16 Aug. 1939.

MONONA: Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Schlitter were held Tuesday afternoon from the Methodist church. The Rev. George W. Turner officiated and burial was made in the city cemetery.

Surviving her are the widower, A. A. Schlitter; two daughters, Mrs. Grover Timmerman, who lived with her and took care of her during her last illness, and Mrs. Mabel Martins of Luana; five sons, Milton Schlitter of McGregor, Leslie, Willis, Carleton and J. Schlitter.

One sister, Mrs. Mary Haberichter of LaPorte City and five brothers also survive her. They are: Fred Schmitt of Minneapolis, Geo. Schmitt of St. Paul, and John H. Schmitt, Frank A. Schmitt and Henry C. Schmitt, all of Monona.
