Clayton County Register, 05 July 1939.

GUTTENBERG: Mrs. Hubert Kappen died at her home Thursday about 6:15 a.m., after several months of sickness. Mr. Kappen and two daughters, Irma and Evelyn, several sisters, one brother and other relatives mourn her death.

The funeral was held Saturday at 9 a.m. from St. Mary's church, with the Rev. Joseph Dupont officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
