Clayton County Register, 21 June 1939.
Gerald Logan, 25, a farm hand on the Floyd Dittmer farm on Primary No. 13, between Osborne and Strawberry Point, was instantly killed in an odd accident last Monday afternoon at about 3:30 o'clock.
Together with his employer, the young man was sorting colts when one of the animals, apparently frightened, crushed Logan's head against an 8 X 8 timber and killed him instantly. An inquest was held by Coroner Rhomberg of Guttenberg, and the death was found accidental.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Strawberry Point this afternoon at two o'clock, and burial was made in the cemetery at Manchhester.
