STRAWBERRY POINT: The following account concerning the death of Lee R. Trezona of Brandon was taken from the Cedar Rapids Gazette (Tuesday). Mr. Trezona formerly lived here:
Brandon - Funeral services for Lee R. Trezona, 57, who had held seven school superintendencies and was membership secretary of the Iowa Rural Christian Fellowship, were conducted Sunday at the Methodist church in Brandon by the Rev. John Atkins. Pallbearers were Everett Wert, Ollie Risdon, Walter Fehl, Ralph Bender, all of Brandon; Ray Rosecrans and Jimmy Dengsley of Rowley. Burial was in Strawberry Point.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Trezona, he was born on a farm at County Corners near Strawberry Point. He was graduated from the Strawberry Point high school, Upper Iowa university and attended a business school, Iowa State college and the University of Iowa. He was superintendent of schools at Delhi, Tracy, Danberry, Little Cedar, Littleport, Ainsworth, Rowley and Brandon.
Mr. Trezona was married to Zella Chamberlain at McIntyre. One daughter, Pauline, was born to them. During his seven years at Brandon he had taken an active part in community life. He was a member of the town council, member of choir, and Sunday School teacher in the Methodist church. Survivors are: His wife and daughter; brother, Will Trezona, of Scales Mound, Ill., and four sisters, Mrs. Guy Harris of Galena, Ill.; Mrs. A. J. Puffett of Lawrence, Kan.; Mrs. Henry Kamoss and Mrs. Will Smith Strawberry Point.
