GARBER: Emmett Ellsworth Purman, second son of Peter and ______ Purman, was born September __, ____, on a farm near Garber, Iowa. Emmett was taken to Mercy hospital in Dubuque, Friday morning, and on Sunday morning, May __, he died. His age was 20 years, _____ months and ___ days.
Emmett attended the district school, where he was an outstanding pupil. After finishing the country school he attended the Colesburg __________ school.
Those left to mourn his loss are: his grief-stricken parents; two brothers, Harry and Cecil, with many other relatives and a host of friends.
The funeral services were held at the home on Tuesday, May 30, at two p.m., with Oliver Smith of Waterloo officiating. Interment was made in the Hansel cemetery.
