Funeral Services Held For Ferdinand Nightingale At Mederville Last Week.

Littleport: Ferdinand Nightengale was born in Germany in 1852 and married Louisa Schultz in 1882. They then came to this country, living in Baltimore, Md., for a short time. The remainder of his life was spent in and around Mederville.

To this union 10 children were born, four preceding him in death.

He became ill March 10th and died Wednesday, March 15, 1939, at the age of 86 years, seven months and two days.

Relatives, who mourn his death, are his wife, who is seriously ill, two daughters, Mrs. Anna Rieck and Mrs. Ed. Hakert, both of Littleport; four sons, Herman and Carl of Littleport, and William and Henry at home; 31 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, besides a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at Mederville, the Rev. E. L. Stuempfig officiating, with interment in the Mederville cemetery.
