The body of William G. Scott, 71, a retired farmer, was found by his wife Sunday hanging in the barn of their home in Strawberry Point. Coroner Rhomberg of Guttenberg said it was suicide attributable to despondency.
The son of Thomas and Mary Scott, he was born six and one-half miles northeast of Strawberry Point. He was married to Mrs. Nellie Kellogg Dec. 12, 1917, at Crown Point, Ind. They lived in Strawberry Point for the last 15 years.
Besides his wife, Mr. Scott is survived by six children, Elmer of St. Paul, Miles of Osborne, Gerald of Wood Center, Lloyd of Canada, Mrs. Mollie Way of Battle Creek, Mich., and Leona Watzer of Seattle, Wash. A sister, Mrs. Rose Kellogg, and another living in Miami, also survive.
