Clayton County Register, 25 Jan. 1939.

Bradley Lee Thurn, four-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Thurn, of Littleport, died here in Elkader last Saturday of pneumonia. The infant had been ill only one week.

He was born in Littleport Sept. 14 last year and besides his parents is survived by one brother, Harlan Jr., his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Thurn of Littleport, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Nelson of Elkader.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Wm. Schmidt home and the Evangelical church of Our Redeemer here in Elkader with burial in the Littleport cemetery, the Rev. E. L. Stuempfig officiating. Casketbearers were Leighton Nelson, Lyle Schmidt, Fallon Wistrick and Gerald Deal.

Many relatives and friends from Littleport, Elkader, Farmersburg, St. Olaf and Monona attended the services.
