Funeral services for Rosena M. Wilker, were held Saturday December 15, 2001, at St. John Lutheran Church, Guttenberg, Iowa. Rev. Harold McMillin officiated with burial at Hill Crest Cemtery in Volga, Iowa. Pallbearers were Lloyd Spielbauer, David Wilker, Jimmie Wilker, Kenneth Wilker, Mike Wilker, Terry Wilker, Wesley Wilker, and William F. Wilker. Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenburg, was in charge of arrangements.
Rosena M. Wilker was born August 23, 1903, on the family farm near Monona, Iowa, daughter of Frank and Mary (Wilker) Lenth.
Rosena received her education locally, farmed with her family and was a homemaker for many years. She was active in ladies aid and enjoyed reading, gardening, flowers, baking cookies, rug making, crocheting and sewing.
On February 24, 1925, she was united in marriage with William J. Wilker at the Zion Lutheran Church in Clayton Center, Iowa. She died Monday December 10, 2001 at the Guttenberg Care Center.
Survivors include one daughter, Delores (Joseph) Spielbauer of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin,two sons, Vernon (Evelyn) Wilker of Garnavillo and William G. (Darlene) Wilker of McGregor, 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Hubert Lenth, and four sisters, Elsie Knuth, Annie Drallmeir, Elmira Lantsky and Alta Koth.I am only posting, am not related.
