STRAWBERRY POINT: Funeral services for Mrs. J. R. Alderson were held Saturday afternoon at the home, conducted by the Rev. Thomas J. Elwick of Decorah, a former Methodist pastor and a close friend of the deceased. Interment was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
Hannah Leete, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leete, was born at Volga, May 06, 1862, and died at her home, Thursday morning from a complication of diseases.
She was united in marriage to John Alderson of Strawberry Point on Nov. 30, 1882. The home was made on a farm until 1907, when they moved to town, where the home has since been made. The deceased was a member of the local O.E.S. chapter.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons and two daughters, Thomas, who lives on part of the old farm; Robert at home; Walter, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. John Schultz, Exland, Wis., and Mrs. Glen Carroll, Kansas City, Kan.; also seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and one sister and three brothers, Mrs. Joe Chapman, George Leete and Will Leete, all of Volga, and Charles Leete, of Doud, Mont.
