Mrs. Eldo Kamin Dies Wednesday

Mrs. Eldo Kamin, 63, a resident of rural route 3 since 1942 died Wednesday afternoon at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital. Death was attributed to cancer.

Rena Ida Kamin was born in Elkader, Iowa on August 26, 1903, the daughter of Fritz and Anna Manke Kalke. She received her education in the rural schools in Clayton County. On February 23, 1927 in Elkader she married Eldo Kamin.

Mrs. Kamin was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Esther Circle, and the Riverton Homemakers.

Survivors include her husband, of rural Charles City, three daughters, Mrs. Marion (Norma Jean) Kamm of Charles City, Mrs. Howard (LaVonne) Plautz of Nashua, and Mrs. Robert ( Verla) Heller of rural route 3, Charles City, eight grandchildren, five brothers, Hugo, and Harley Kalke both of Elkader, Milo Kalke of Floyd, Henry Kalke of Rockford, and Alvin Kalke of New Richland, Minnesota, and five sisters, Mrs. Lewis Eberhardt, and Mrs. Nelda Schutey and Mrs. Clarence Baade all of Elkader, Mrs. Elmer Schutte of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Marvin Henning of Farmersburg, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church. The Rev. Richard Trost, pastor and the Rev. Terry R. Exner, associated pastor, will officiate.

Friends may call at the Grossmann-Hage Funeral Home until 1 p.m. Saturday. The casket will not be opened at the church. The family suggests memorials be given to the St. John Lutheran Church building fund or the Cancer Society.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
