STRAWBERRY POINT: Funeral services for Mrs. R. J. Kamoss were held at the Emanuel's Lutheran church, Thursday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Max O. Jahr. Burial was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
Laura Marie, daughter of William and Bertha Imlau, was born on a farm near Strawberry Point, on Sept. 20, 1888, and died at her home Monday, Oct. 24, 1938, following a stroke. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On Sept. 08, 1908, she was united in marriage to Richard J. Kamoss. To this union two children were born, Ruth and Bruni, both at home.
After their marriage, they began housekeeping on a farm four miles southwest of town, and have always resided on the same place. She was a member of Emanuel's Lutheran church, and an earnest worker in the Ladies Aid society. Mrs. Kamoss had not been well for some time, but was always ready to do kindness for those in sorrow.
Surviving besides her husband and two children, are her parents, all of Strawberry Point, one brother and three sisters: Frank Imlau, Manchester; Mrs. Herman Roloff, Manchester; Mrs. Wm. Rosenthal, Canton, Minn., and Mrs. Walter Fredrick, Strawberry Point.
