Strawberry Point: Leslie D. Davis died Friday morning at his home, although not well for some time he had not been confined to his bed since Monday. Plans are being made to have the funeral Monday.

Leslie D. Davis, son of Benjamin B. and Libby Davis, was born on a farm near Strawberry Point on Oct. 04, 1884. At four years of age he moved to town with his parents, where he has since resided. After graduating from the local high school in 1902, he assisted his father in his general merchandise store until the death of his father on March 24, 1918, the son continuing in the business. He was united in marriage to Miss Belle Smith on Oct. 01, 1914. A few years ago Mr. Davis opened a grocery store here, and was one of the leading merchants here. surviving, besides his devoted wife, are his mother and one sister, Mrs. Grace Eaton of Strawberry Point.
