Clayton County Register, 29 June 1938.

VOLGA CITY: Kenneth David Robinson was born in Cleghorn, Iowa, July 4th, 1902. At the age of two years, he with his parents moved to a farm near Cleghorn where he spent five years of his childhood. The next five years were spent at Wichita, Kansas, one more at Cleghorn. From there the family moved to Volga where Kenneth spent the remainder of his life.

Graduating from the Volga high school and later from the Waterloo high school. During the year 1926, two very important events took place in Kenny's life. In the spring of the year he began farming for himself in partnership with his brother Allen. Then in the autumn on October 07, at Waterloo, he was united in marriage to Miss Lera Horton. To this union three children were born: Mary, 7; Tommy, 3; and Peggy, 1 year.

The happiness and welfare of his family and the betterment of his industrial life have always been uppermost in his thoughts.

However, we cannot say Kenny lived a selfish life, as the welfare of his neighbors and friends was vey important to him. Always lending a helping hand wherever help was needed.

Those who mourn his passing are his widow, three children, brother Allen and family, brother Clifford and wife and mother Horton, also a host of relatives and friends.

At his passing, he had attained the age of 35 years, 11 months and 23 days.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, June 25, at 2:00 o'clock in the Presbyterian church. Rev. James Wray, pastor, officiated. Casket-bearers were Robert White, Glen Moats, Ted Whitford, Virgil Miles, Walter Roys and Evert Neal. Interment was in Hill Crest cemetery.

Heartfelt sympathy is extended to the family in their hour of sorrow.
