Clayton County Register, 01 June 1938.

Mrs. Harriett Lorton, 83, died here Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dale Jones, after a long illness.

Funeral services were held Monday at 11:00 at the McTaggart funeral home, after which the body was taken to Montgomery City, Mo., for burial,, accompanied by Mrs. Jones and her daughter, Julia Jean.

Julia Jean returned home this noon, but Mrs. Jones went on to Tulsa, Okla., with her sister, Mrs. Lorena Frazier, for a visit and rest.
