Strawberry Point: Funeral services for Mrs. C. A. Menold occurred Saturday morning at the Gill Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Carrie V. Lucas, pastor of the Congregational church. The pallbearers were Geo. Scofield, George E. Dunfrund, Clarence B. Moser, Henry J. Esch, Alex Schmidt and Eckert Shaffer. Interment was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.

As Daisy June Gray, daughter of William H. and Mary Gray, was born at Tama, Iowa, on April 22, 1876, and died at her home on West Mission street, Thursday morning, after a lingering illness. She was united in marriage to Clyde A. Menold of Wall Lake, on June 25, 1902, at Clinton. After their marriage the home was made in different points of Iowa until December, 1936, when the family moved from Leon to Strawberry Point, where Mr. Menold opened a variety store in the Moser and Wenzel building. Surviving, besides her husband, are three daughters and one son: Mrs. Marian Orris of Monmouth, Miss Wilma Menold, a teacher at Onslow, Miss Charlotte Menold and Howard Menold of Strawberry Point; also two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Guild of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Jessie McAllister of Clinton.
