Clayton County Register, 18 May 1938.
LITTLEPORT: Mrs. Freda Klahr, 65, died Friday noon at Mercy hospital, in Oelwein, after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at the family residence in Mederville at 1:00 p.m., Monday and at 2:00 p.m., burial was made in the Mederville cemetery.
The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Remaining to mourn her death are: her husband, Henry Klahr, an adopted daughter, Mrs. Beulah Wilson, at home, an adopted son, Everitt Gilbert, Strawberry Pt., three sisters, Mrs. John Nading, Littleport; Ida Olinger of Strawberry Pt. and Mrs. Louise Kramer of Littleport; two brothers, Frank Shuldt, Portland, Ore., and William Schuldt of Littleport.
