SCHEFFERT, SHEFFERT, CUNNINGHAM, BLIETZ, VERHOTA

Clayton County Register, 11 May 1938.

Monona: Mrs. John Sheffert [sic] died Saturday, after an illness of many months' duration. Surviving Mrs. Sheffert are her two daughters, Mrs. Augusta Cunningham, and Mrs. Lydia Blietz; also her brother, Jacob Verhota.

Mrs. Sheffert was a faithful mother, kind and neighborly. She assisted in the care of her invalid daughter, Mrs. Blietz, until she became ill several months ago and died at the Cunningham home.

Rev. George W. Turner conducted the funeral services in the local Methodist church, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, and burial was made in the city cemetery beside her husband.
