Christine Olson was born in Marion township on February 23, 1879. She departed this life, April 26, 1938, at the age of 59 years, 2 months and 3 days.
She was united in marriage on January 10th, 1901, to Theo. Olson.
Two daughters and two sons, Merril at home, Lawrence of McGregor, Mrs. Paul Gogg of Nashua, and Mrs. Pete Opperud of Maynard and three grandchildren.
She also leaves 3 brothers, two sisters, Mrs. Ole Torkelson, Mrs. K. Mork of Elgin, Tom Holm of Elgin, Lucas Olson of Clermont, and Charles Olson of Madison, S. Dak., and three half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Hulverson of Minneapolis, Mrs. Melvin Rienhardt of West Union, and Mrs. Allen Texdey of Chicago, two half-brothers, Milo and Otto Olson of Waterloo, and step-mother, Mrs. A. Olson of West Union.
She has been in poor health for 14 years as a result of a severe stroke which partly paralized her.
Funeral services were conducted at the Norway church on Friday by the Rev. O. Haugstal of McGregor. Burial was made at the Norway cemetery.
