McGregor: Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Peikert, 99, McGregor's oldest resident, were held at St. Aloysius Catholic church in Calmar, Monday morning, with burial services in McGregor in the afternoon. Mrs. Peikert died Thursday after an illness of several days. She has made her home for the past four years with her son Rev. A. S. Peikert, pastor of the Calmar Catholic church, and her daughters, Miss Edith Peikert and Mrs. Helen Jung, at Calmar. Mrs. Peikert had been a resident of McGregor since her marriage to Joseph Peikert in 1859. She was born in Germany in 1839, coming to McGregor when 20 years old. Her husband died in 1915. Besides her three children in Calmar, she is survived by Mrs. Pauline O'Brien and Frank, of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Adele Philion of Saskatoon, Canada, and Joseph of La Crosse, Wis.
