St. Olaf: Gurina Amelia Herbranson was born June 10, 1884, in Wagner township, Clayton county, Iowa, on the home farm west of St. Olaf, the only daughter of Ole O. and Emily Herbranson, who were among the early settlers of this community.

She passed away March 10, at 10:45 a.m., at the Postville hospital, following an appendicitis operation.

Miss Herbranson was baptized and confirmed in the Norwegian Lutheran church of which she has always been a member. She was also a member of the Bergan Ladies Aid.

She is survived by two brothers, Theodore and Henry Herbranson, besides a host of relatives and friends. Her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Sunday morning at the Norway Lutheran church with the Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating. Burial was in the Norway cemetery. Pallbearers were Ralph Gunderson, Harvey Wold, Glenn Olson, Henry and Ray Reirson and Thomas Christianson.
