GUTTENBERG: The home of Mrs. Carolina Kann was saddened Thursday morning by the news of the death of her son, Sylverius Andrew ("Pat").
Pat had gone to Dubuque Wednesday to spend the evening with friends, and while there he became very ill and was taken to St. Joseph's Mercy hospital. On Thursday, he died about 6:30 a.m.
The body was brought to Guttenberg Thursday, and the funeral was held at St. Mary's church Saturday a.m., The Rex. Joseph Du Pont officiating at the church and grave.
His survivors are his mother, Mrs. Carolina Kann; five sisters, Mrs. Carl Fletcher of Lamont, Mrs. Art Grimmer of Fond du Lac, Wis., Mrs. Ed. Adler of Marshfield, Wis., Mrs. Ed. Brandt of Fond du Lac, Wis., Mrs. Chas, Dickinson of Mitchell, S.D., and five brothers, Fred of Danbury, Iowa, Henry and Theodore of Guttenberg, and George and Ed. of Stratford, Wis.
The funeral was largely attended by many other relatives and friends.
Pat was one of the proprietors of the new tavern "Tip-Top."
