STRAWBERRY POINT: Funeral services for Mrs. William R. Manchester were held on Wednesday morning at the home four miles west of Strawberry Point, conducted by Rev. Thomas J. Elwick of Elberon, a former local Methodist pastor. The pallbearers were: John Burrack, Con Kleinlein, George Burrack, William Gladwin, Enno Burrack, Jr., and John Kray. Interment was made in the local cemetery.

Margaret Ann Hamlett, daughter of Thomas and Ellen Hamlett, was born Sept. 22, 1868, near Oneida, and died at the Mercy hospital Oelwein, Tuesday morning, from a heart attack and complications. She was united in marriage to William R. Manchester of Arlington, and they started their married life on their farm one mile west of their present home. To this union two children were born, Addie, now Mrs. Albert Smith, of Lamont, and William H., residing on the home place. Besides her husband and children, she is survived by six grandchildren, four sisters and one brother, Mrs. Mary Cleveland of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Cynthia Rulon of Edgewood, Mrs. Lela Lickiss of Arlington, Mrs. Martha Halsted of Strawberry Point, and Elias Hamlett of Edgewood.
