Clayton County Register, 04 Aug. 1937.

Randall Kinyon, 40, of Millville was found dead in his barn by Mrs. Kinyon yesterday morning with the top of his head shot off.

In the absence of Coroner Leslie Oelke, who is attending the Legion convention in Des Moines, Justice E. A. Felder of Guttenberg conducted a coroner's inquest, the verdict of which was that the unfortunate man came to his death by his own hands with a shotgun.

The victim had been in ill health for some time and it is believed that this condition was responsible for his rash act. He is survived by his widow and a son about seven or eight years old.
