Clayton County Register, 23 June 1937.

Funeral services were held at Farmersburg last Sunday for Mrs. Fred Mueller, who had died at her home on the Friday before.

Mrs. Mueller, nee Mary Radloff, was born in the province of Pommern, Germany, on Aug. 24, 1870. When she was but three years old she came to America together with her parents. They settled in Read township which was her home until the time of her marriage. On November 27, 1891, she was united in marriage with Fred Mueller and together with him lived on a farm in Read township and then on a farm in Farmersburg township. This union was blessed with nine children.

Mrs. Mueller had enjoyed comparatively good health and especially during the last while seemed to enjoy unusual good health. Even during the day preceding her death she did not know that death was so close, although, during last month she had repeatedly told her family that she did not think that she would be with them much longer. Death, caused by heart failure, came to her in her sleep on June 17th, at twelve o'clock at night. She reached the age of 66 years, nine months and 17 days. Burial was made Sunday from the Lutheran church in Farmersburg, the Rev. H. M. Adix officiating.

She leaves to mourn her, her beloved husband, Fred Mueller, her nine children, Marvin Mueller of Farmersburg, Mrs. Ella Lubbers of Postville, Fritze Mueller of St. Olaf, Mrs. Linda Klasen of Farmersburg, Louis Mueller of Monona, Mrs. Marie Pixler of Dubuque, Carl Mueller of Elgin, Mrs. Lucy Johanningmeier of Monona and Mrs. Alice Kiple of Clermont, 14 grandchildren, three brothers, Wm. Radloff of Farmersburg, Charles Radloff of Postville and Louis Radloff of Clayton Center and one sister, Mrs. Henry Harnack of Waterloo, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

May she rest in peace and the eternal light shine.
