She was married to Samuel Ross Nichols January 16, 1889. They settled their family life in the community north of Colesburg, and near Garber, and continued throughout the years to live in the same locality. There were born to them four children, as follows: Leslie, Waterville; Earl, Strawberry Point; Norman, Greeley and Mrs. Grace Swisher, Colesburg. All the children are now living.

Mrs. Nichols was a faithful mother and loving and dutiful wife; she and her husband travelled through nearly half a century of wedded life. She was possessed of a pleasing personality. Affliction laid a strong hand upon her some months ago and she gradually weakened until death came to her last Saturday evening.

The funeral took place in the family home near Garber, Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. The Rev. E. E. Clements, pastor of the Colesburg Methodist church, had charge of the service.

Music was furnished by the Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Clements. They sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Good Night Here, But Good Morning Up There." hey were accompanied on the piano by Miss Edith Merten. Burial was had in the Brown cemetery near Colesburg.
