Funeral services were held last Saturday for Mrs. F. L. McCreary, who had died in Iowa City following an operation.

Abigail Estella Hill, daughter of William Hill and Julia Howard, was born Oct. 18, 1881, in Elkader.

On July 02, 1900, she was united in marriage with Frank Lynn McCreary at Allison. They resided at Cedar Falls for 23 years, where Mr. McCreary was a member of the Iowa State Teachers college faculty. Since 1929 they have made their home in McGregor and Elkader.

At the time of her death she was matron of the Clayton County Hospital for the Insane at Elkader.

Those who survive are her husband, Mr. McCreary; daughter, Helen Jane, at home, and son, Geo. McCreary, at Humbolt, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. C. D. Langley and Mrs. Eli Dresden, a brother, Mate Hill, all of McGregor; a number of nieces and nephews, also a host of friends.
