Clayton County Register, 10 March 1937.

Fred Reick died last Thursday evening at nine-thirty o'clock at the home of Mrs. Lottie Ortman, Littleport, Iowa. Mr. Reick had been failing in health since December, 1936.

He was born on April 06th, 66 years ago, in Rochester, N.Y. He spent his entire life in Littleport and surrounding community. Mr. Reick attended the Lutheran church at Littleport, Iowa.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Clinton, Littleport, Mrs. Charles Clinton, Ponca City, Okla., two brothers, Henry Reick, Littleport, and Charles Reick, Elkader, besides a host of relatives and friends.

Burial was made in the Union cemetery, Littleport. Services were held Saturday from McTaggart funeral parlor, at one o'clock, the Rev. P. Kitterer officiating.
