GUTTENBERG: Frank Burr, prominent farmer and life-long resident of Jefferson township, passed away at Mercy hospital, Dubuque, last Wednesday morning at 6:00 o'clock, following an operation. He had been in poor health for a few months previous to his death. Mr. Burr was born on a farm in Jefferson township, Clayton county, Iowa, on July 18, 1878, and therefore was 58 years, six months and 29 days of age at the time of his death. On May 11, 1904, he was married at North Buena Vista to Miss Helena Keppler. He resided on a farm in this township his entire life. His death is deeply mourned by his wife; two sons, Arnold Burr of Garnavillo, and Leo at home; four daughters, Mrs. Al Entringer of Sioux City; Mrs. Emmett Haut of Davenport; Mrs. Irvin Vorwald of Garnavillo, and Miss Geneva Burr, at home; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Adolph Meyer, Mrs. John Stamm and Miss Fannie Burr, all of Guttenberg.
The body was brought to his home in Jefferson township last Wednesday forenoon. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J. A. Dupont at St. Mary's Catholic church in Guttenberg on Saturday morning at nine o'clock.
