Clayton County Register, 10 Feb. 1937.

STRAWBERRY POINT: Funeral services for Dan Coonfare, aged 77 years, were held at the Gill chapel Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. James P. Gable, pastor of the local Methodist church. Burial was made in the Cox Creek cemetery. Surviving are his wife, formerly Miss Ada Hines, and four children, Mrs. Grover (Gladys) Kahr, Lester Coonfare, Claire Coonfare and Miss Dorothy Coonfare. besides several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also two brothers, James Coonfare and Dave Coonfare of Strawberry Point.
