McGregor: Mrs. Electa Ann Phelps died at the home of her son, Attorney W. W. Phelps, at McGregor January 11, at the age of 86 years. She was born in Jo Davis county, Illinois, July 01, 1850, the daughter of Amos and Mary Breed. When she was about three years old her parents came to Clayton county, Iowa, where she lived until 1866. She was married to O. A. Phelps in 1870 and to them were born four children. Her husband, one son and her only daughter preceded her in death. She has made her home for the last few years with her son, W. W. Phelps, in McGregor, although most of her married life was spent in Britt, Iowa. She is survived by two sons, Charles and William, of McGregor; four sisters and one brother. The funeral was held at Britt Thursday, Jan. 14, from the Congregational church.
