Funeral services were held last Friday for Mrs. Mose H. Adams, who died at her home in Clayton a week ago Monday at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 12 days. Services were conducted from the home in Clayton by Rev. M. J. Harder of Garnavillo.
Mrs. Adams was born Feb. 01, 1855, at Oran, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Kathryn (Carrier) Gregory. June 14, 1871, she was united in marriage to Mose Adams. Mrs. Adams, who had been a resident of Clayton since she was three years of age, is survived by two sons, two daughters, one sister and eight grandchildren.
The surviving sons and daughters are: Arthur Adams of Clayton, Mrs. R. (Rachel) McClenathan of Los Angeles, Mrs. Lee (Mae) Boyle of Onalaska, Wis., Ralph Adams of Los Angeles, and the surviving sister is Mrs. Molly Ecker of Marquette.
One of the surviving grandchildren is Miss Abigail Adams, a student in the local high school. Two nephews: Victor Drumb of Osterdock, and E. J. Crawford of Dubuque, as well as several nieces, also survive.
