Clayton County Register, 11 Nov. 1936.

Henry Nugent died last Friday, November 06, here in Elkader. Dates of his birth and other dates concerning his life are not available, other than the fact that he had been a life-long resident of this county and most of this in Cox Creek township.

He was the last of his family since his father, mother, brothers and sisters had preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held last Monday in St. Joseph's church, of which he was a member. His casket bearers were: M. F. Leonard, J. Leonard, F. Kramer, Peter Dunn, M. J. Garaghty and Harold Downey. The Rev. Father J. P. Taken officiated at the services.

Relatives and friends from a distance who attended the services were: Florence and Lucille Loftus, West union; K. C. Loftus, Mason City; and Mrs. S. P. Moore, Cedar Rapids.
