MCGREGOR: Funeral services for Frank Tracy Boyle, 80, were held at his home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. J. F. Parsons officiating. Burial was made in the Pleasant Grove cemetery. Mr. Boyle was the son of Miles and Isabelle Warren Boyle, and was born in Erie, Penn. May 10, 1856. He was one of a family of nine children. When a boy of 12 he came with his parents to two sisters to make his home in McGregor and to join his brother Alonzo, who had come west the year before. When about 16 years old he entered the employ of McGregor & Patrick, hardware merchants, and remained with them many years, until the firm moved to Des Moines. He then entered the employ of another hardware firm, John Ernsdorff. His health forced him to give up his work, and in 1909 he moved to Montana, where he lived till 1920, returning then to McGregor, making his home with his brother, A. C. Boyle, until his death July 04, 1936. He is survived by his brother and one sister, Mrs. Isabelle Bowen, of Mason City, and numerous nephews and nieces.
