Clayton County Register, 22 Jan. 1936.

Mrs. Herman Blume, former Clayton township resident, but of late years a resident of Leroy, Minn., died at the hospital at Rochester, Minn., last week. The body was brought to Garnavillo for burial, where funeral services were conducted by the Rev. M. J. Harder at St. Paul's Lutheran church, on Sunday afternoon. Interment was made in the cemetery at Garnavillo. Her death is mourned by her husband, several children, a number of grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
