MCGREGOR: Funeral services were held from the Community rooms Saturday afternoon for Mrs. George Duerr of Des Moines. The services were in charge of the McGregor chapter of the Eastern Star, assisted by Rev. J. F. Parsons. Burial was made in Pleasant Grove cemetery. Margaret Rosina Lyon was born Dec. 12, 1890, at Kearney, Neb., and died at her home in Des Moines Dec. 26, 1935. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church of Des Moines, the Order of Eastern Star No. 89 of Des Moines, and the Women's Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was married to George Duerr July 23, 1920, who survives her. She is also survived by one daughter, Burdean, now Mrs. Wm. Weichman, of Cedar Rapids; one grandchild and one sister, Mrs. Marie Fields, of Des Moines.
